Your short break or weekend break holiday starts immediately you step on board Salamander, an ocean going sailing yacht which has circumnavigated the world with its owner skipper.
After you have been introduced to Salamander we leave Lymington for the Solent passing through the Hurst Narrows, where you will be able to see Hurst Castle and Lighthouse before entering Christchurch Bay. We will then pass Bournemouth, Sandbanks and Studland Bay before entering Poole Harbour, a natural harbour covering some 36 square kilometres.
There are a number of attractions in the area, which can be best seen only from a yacht, including Studland Bay, Old Harry Rocks, which were connected once upon a time with the Needles on the Isle of Wight, Swanage, Worbarrow Bay and further afield picturesque Lulworth Cove.
Depending on the number of days you choose to spend on board Salamander you will be able to choose where and when to see some or all of these sights and more.
Salamander and her crew will be available to fulfil your every wish. Each day we will offer fresh ideas and discuss with you what you would like to do. You may wish to relax and take time out or actively take part in sailing Salamander.
It will be up to you.

Studland Bay marks the beginning of the Jurassic Coast, famous for Old Harry Rocks, Worbarrow Bay, Lulworth Cove and so much more. If you prefer we can stay on anchor every night in a different location.

Both Poole and Lymington are well served by trains making connections overland between the two very easy.

Salamander of Lymington - your luxury yacht for your adventure
Your weekend break or short break sailing holiday cruise will be on board the luxury 58 foot ocean-going sailing yacht Salamander of Lymington, which has successfully circumnavigated the world with the current skipper. You will be able to try your hand under supervision, if you wish, or you can sit back and luxuriate in the warmth of the teak pilot house saloon with great wrap round windows. Salamander is heated and perfectly suited for year round use, both sailing and cruising under motor.

Lymington, where Salamander is normally based, is well worth a visit on foot, a charming Georgian town with cobbled streets, with many hotels, banks, pubs, restaurants and independent shops, lying between the New Forest and the Solent, the most famous stretch of sheltered water in the world of sailing, the venue of so many world class events, and just around the corner from the Beaulieu River, Cowes, Yarmouth, The National Trust Reserve at Newtown River, Portsmouth, Southampton, and last but not least the world famous and iconic Needles on the Isle of Wight.

The Salamander Poole, Sandbanks, Studland Bay and Old Harry Rocks Boat Trip will normally depart Berthon Lymington Marina.
Bespoke arrangements can be made for guests to be picked up from Lymington, Beaulieu River, Southampton, the Hamble, Portsmouth, Gosport, Cowes, Yarmouth and Poole.
Departure times can be agreed to suit guest’s wishes.
