What are the dates for the Salamander ARC Baltic Rally 2022?

The Salamander ARC Baltic Rally will be split into two ralies or cruises, Eastbound and Westbound. Guests are welcome to join either or both cruises.

Salamander Eastbound ARC Baltic Rally - Rostock Germany to St. Petersburg Russia - 2nd July - 21st July 2022

The Eastbound ARC Baltic Rally starts in Rostock Germany. We sail to Bornholm in Denmark with its rolling landscape and picturesque fishing villages.

We then sail to the Swedish town of Visby (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) situated on the island of Gotland. A former Viking site, Visby was an important town of the Hanseatic League in the Baltic from the 12th to the 14th century. Its historic ramparts and more than 200 warehouses and wealthy merchants’ dwellings make it the best-preserved fortified commercial city in northern Europe.

A short hop from Visby lays Gotska Sandön where we might have the option to anchor off the island to visit the lighthouse, the small museum, the church and a seal sanctuary.

Next stop is the Estonian capital Tallinn, with its famous old town built up from the 13th to 16th centuries with its twisting cobblestone lanes, iron street lamps, gothic spires and medieval markets, another UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Our Salamander Eastbound Baltic Rally will finish in St. Petersburg in Russia where we will spend almost a week in St. Petersburg with plenty of time to visit the stunning sights of this beautiful city including the Hermitage and Winter Palace.

23rd July - Disembark Salamander (unless of course, you are continuing with us on our return cruise to Sweden)

Salamander Westbound ARC Baltic Cruise - St. Petersburg Russia to Kalmar Sweden - 23rd July to 15th August 2022

The Westbound ARC Baltic Rally continues from St. Petersburg sailing to the Finnish capital Helsinki with its interesting blend of Swedish, Finnish and Russian influences.

From Helsinki we sail to the Åland Islands which are Finnish but have a special independent status. Their capital is the Swedish speaking Mariehamn and home to one of the last existing sailing grain ships in the world - the square rigger Pommern.

From Mariehamn we continue to the Swedish capital Stockholm, built on many islands giving the city some unforgettable scenery.

We then sail south through the beautiful channels in the Swedish Archipelago where we can experience clear waters and tranquil bays.

The Salamander Westbound ARC Baltic Rally will finish in the Swedish town of Kalmar founded in the 11th century.

16th August - Disembark Salamander
